Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is located on the flood plain of the Santa Koshi River in the eastern Terai of Nepal. Koshi Tappu wild life reserve is established in 1976 and covers 175sq km area mainly established to protect the rare wild water buffaloes. It is designated as a Ramsar site in 1987. Koshi Tappu wild life reserve is famous for the birdlife and wild buffalo. It is a bird watchers paradise where you find more than 450 species of bird. It is one of the best bird watching sites in the world. Along with the resident bird spices, this wild life reserve is also visited by the migratory birds from Siberia and Tibet around November to February.
In Koshi Tappu wildlife conservation, you see the endangered species of birds like Black-necked Stork, Greater Adjutant Stork, lesser Adjutant Stork, Baer’s Pochard, Red-necked Falcon, Bengal Florican, Great stone Plover, Black-bellied Tern, Dusky eagle Owl, Swamp Francolin, Marsh Warbler, etc. Koshi Tappu wild life reserve is the heaven for endangered wildlife like hog deer, wild boar, spotted deer, blue bell, jackals, Gharial crocodile, dolphin, ducks, herons, storks, egrets, etc. it offers an outstanding wetland which has created one of the best and finest bird watching sanctuaries in Asia. Koshi Tappu wild life reserve is the best destination for the Jungle safari. It gives the wilderness experience to the visitors in an unexplored forest. You can explore the Koshi Tappu wild life reserve in three different ways- on the back of the elephant, in the jeep, as well as the on foot. From this park you can also see the fifth highest mountain of the world Mt. Makalu when there is clear whether. Day by day Detail Itinerary:
Day 01: Transfer to airport for flight Kathmandu to Biratnagar Airport. Drive to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Camp.

Day 02: Full day activities Koshi Tappu.
Wake up call, breakfast set out for full day excursion on boat and jeep safari, packed lunch, and see waders, waterfowl, birds of prey, marsh crocodile, otters, wild water buffalo and genetic dolphins including a visit to pink tower, dinner and briefing about next day program.
Day 03: Bird watching activities Koshi Tappu.
Wake up call, breakfast, bird watching nature walk, pack lunch, swamp partridge, black necked stork, buntings, and Bulbuls watching; elephant back safari, dinner and briefing about next day program.
Day 04: Morning activities of Koshi Tappu and fly out from Biratnagar.
Wake up call, tea/ coffee, bird watching, breakfast departure to Kathmandu.
