Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, received by our staff with warm welcome and transfer to respective hotels with briefing regarding Everest trek, hotels, lodge on route with do and don’ts with evening group welcome dinner.
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Chamje 1,410 m - 09 hrs.
After breakfast at Hotel, we will take a long and scenic drive from Kathmandu towards Chamje - the starting point of the trek. Our drive goes along the banks of Trishuli river, and then along the banks of Marsyangdi River. During our drive journey we will have opportunity to observe the daily activities of local people for survival while our drive passes through small roadside towns and villages.
Day 03: Trek from Chamje to Dharapani 1,960 m - 06 hrs.
From Chamje we will start our trek following the trail that passes through dense rhododendron filled forest and beautifully terraced farmlands as we enter Manang region. During spring season, the hills are filled with red rhododendron flowers which makes our trek truly incredible journey. We will pass along the villages of Tal and Karte before crossing the landslide affected area.
Day 04: Trek from Dharapani to Chame - 2,710 m - 06 hrs.
We continue our trek by following the trail that goes through landslide affected areas. We should watch out for rock falls while our trek goes along the landslide affected areas. Before reaching Chame we will pass along villages that are influenced by Tibetan culture and tradition. Chame is the main administrative centre and headquarter of Manang district. From Chame, we can enjoy magnificent views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II.
Day 05: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang 3,700 m - 06 hrs.
After having breakfast at Chame, we follow a steep trail that goes through dense pine forest as we enter into higher altitudes. We continue our trek gradually ascending, our trail widens and we will find ourselves surrounded by magnificent peaks all the way to Pisang. From Pisang we continue our trek with additional climb of about thirty minutes which will lead us over to the top of a big hill to reach Upper Pisang for our overnight stay.
Day 06: Rest/Acclimatization day at Upper Pisang.
By now, we have reached over 3,500 meters above the sea level. So acclimatization is very essential to avoid mental and physical illness. Thus, today we will take a rest at Upper Pisang for acclimatization and exploration. Beside that, Upper Pisang offers several good hikes options for best acclimatization. Moreover, we will have magnificent views of several snow capped high mountains including Annapurna, Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak from Upper Pisang.
Day 07: Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp 4,380 m - 04 hrs.
After spending a day rest at Upper Pisang, we continue on our trek following the trail that gently ascends passing through alpine vegetation to reach an open summer grazing pastures, a Kharka at 4,380 meters. Here, we will set up our base camp and make necessary preparations for shifting the camp to higher altitudes before attempting the main summit climb of Pisang Peak. Today, we will Enjoy the magnificent views of surrounding high peaks. Its best to rest which helps in restoring energy much needed for further climbing.
Day 08: Trek to Pisang Peak High Camp 5,400 m - 04 hrs.
From Pisang Peak Base Camp, we continue to follow the trail that climbs higher to the shoulder on the south west ridge. Our trail steepens as we head higher to reach a good camping site at 5,400 meters. It is a short day trek but can be very tiring as our trail comprises of steep climbing sections. Hurrying in high altitudes is no good idea, so resting every now and then we head towards a good campsite for setting up our High Camp. Once we arrive at the campsite, our Sherpa will quickly set up the camps and make final checks on climbing gears that includes ropes, ice axes, harness, crampons and other essential climbing equipments required for the main summit climb of Pisang Peak.
Day 09: Climb to Pisang Peak Summit 6,091 m and back to Base Camp - 08 hrs.
Today is the day we all have been desperately waiting for. Properly equipped and fully acclimatized we start early with the aim to reach the summit before noon as the strong winds after midday can generate obstacles in reaching the summit. Following the footsteps and guidance of our experienced climbing experts, we begin to climb a well defined ridge. We will overcome several technical sections and head towards the summit of Pisang Peak. Our tiring climb to the summit is rewarded with magnificent views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan Ranges including Glacier Dome and Tilicho Peak. After spending quality time at the Pisang Peak summit, we will descend following the same route and head back to reach back to the base camp.
Day 10: Trek from Pisang Peak Base Camp to Manang Valley 3,450 m - 06 hrs.
After successfully accomplishing the summit of Pisang Peak, we start our return journey by leaving the base camp and following the trail that goes across the riverside. With fantastic views of surrounding snow capped peaks, we head towards Manang valley. Manang is highly acknowledged for its rich culture and tradition. We will have opportunity to experience the traditional lifestyle of the local Manangi people while exploring around the village of Manang.
Day 11: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 04 hrs.
From Manang our trail heads north and climbs a stone wall that stops domestic animals from leaving the grazing grounds of high pastures. Soon. we begin to descend to reach a suspension bridge over Ghyanchang river. We will cross the suspension bridge and pass through a couple of tea shops. Our trek from there is a moderate walk for about an hour before arriving at Yak Kharka.
Day 12: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi 4,600 m - 04 hrs.
Leaving Yak Kharka, we will follow the trail that climbs fairly on an easy gradient towards Ledar. From Ledar, our trek continues on a leveled path for about an hour before descending down to cross a wooden bridge over Kone river. We will cross the bridge, climb for a while and then follow a rather easy trail to arrive at Thorong Phedi for our overnight stay.
Day 13: Cross Thorong La 5,416 m to Muktinath 3, 800 m - 08 hrs.
From Thorong Phedi our trail climbs steeply towards a watercourse before climbing over another large gully that is structured by the melt of Thorong Peak. Our climbing trek continues as we head towards the top of Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters. From the top of Thorong La Pass, we can enjoy magnificent views of Annapurna Mountain Ranges to the south and Mukut Himal to the west bordering Dolpo. Our trail from the top of the pass descends towards fine grassy meadows. We continue our trek until we arrive at a highly acknowledged pilgrimage site of Muktinath.
Day 14: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom 2,670 m - 06 hrs.
From Muktinath, we will avoid the motor road and trek passing through Jharkot. Our trek goes along the small irrigation stream to arrive at Khingar. from here, we will follow the motor road all the way to Jomsom. Jomsom is the main administrative center of Mustang. Moreover, Jomsom is an important hub for Upper Mustang Treks with the airstrip and abundance of tea houses and services. After arriving at Jomsom we will celebrate the completion of our successful Pisang Peak Climbing.
Day 15: Morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara - 25 minutes and Sightseeing at Pokhara.
Today, we take an early morning scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. After landing at Pokhara, you will be transferred to the hotel. We will spend rest of the day sightseeing around Pokhara. Pokhara is home to thick forest, emerald lakes and a place of remarkable natural beauty. The reflection of the Machhapuchre (Fish-Tail) over the serene Fewa Lake makes this place truly magical. Besides, visiting sacred places and sightseeing around the city of Pokhara is a good way to spend your day.
Day 16: Drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu.
After breakfast, we will take a drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu. It takes approximately five to six hours drive, to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara. Our drive journey goes through the scenic hilly zigzag roads and along the banks of Trishuli River. We will have opportunity to observe the daily activities of the local people for survival, while our drive journey passes through several roadside market towns and villages. After arriving at Kathmandu, you can either have rest at the hotel or take a walk around the busy shopping streets of Kathmandu.
Day 17: In Kathmandu free day with sightseeing tour.
A spare day in Kathmandu in case of flight delay and cancellation due to unfavorable bad weather which might occur, as the Himalayan weather can be unpredictable sometimes if all goes well have a free day or sightseeing tour of Kathmandu — Patan — Bhaktapur.
Day 18: International departure homeward bound.
Today, your last day in amazing Nepal with great experience and fond memories of Everest Base Camp trekking, as per your time for international flight, our staff transfer you to airport for your final departure homeward bound or to your next destinations.
